Our mission with this program is to provide children (ages 6 and above) with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities access to a modified gymnastics curriculum adapted to the individual athlete's needs provided by well trained instructors. Students within this program will participate in small group gymnastics activities that focus on balance, coordination, and gross motor body movements. Students will also participate in activities that reinforce color and number recognition, positional awareness vocabulary, and fine motor skills. Classes will be led by a licensed intervention specialist with parental involvement in each class. There will be a maximum of 6 students per class. Students in this program should have receptive listening skills and an easily understood method of expressive communication. Parent participation is required for this class.
